Source hierarchy

Manufacturer support pages and model manuals are primary. Secondary repair sources may identify leads, but they do not establish a published code meaning on their own.

Quality gate

An indexable entry requires an exact code, appliance class, coverage note, concise meaning, at least three safe checks, stop conditions, a manufacturer source and verification date.

Updates

Source URLs and content hashes are rechecked. Material changes trigger review before the page is republished.

Limits

Error codes are diagnostic starting points, not proof that a specific part failed. Model families differ. Always use the exact model manual.
